This is not as exciting as it sounds! All it tells us is that, while increasing the number of turns increases the voltage output, it also increases the pickup's RESISTANCE, or INTERNAL IMPEDANCE, so the top half of the potential divider also gets larger. Of course, this all ignores the pickup's inductance .. but that's a story for another day.
